The face of gaming changes so much, not only in the last decade, but even just a year or two. We finally got it, and before we knew it, we were being sold controllers that you had to actually move or point at the screen! The technology seemed to surpass the wants of the customer, and now was waiting on consumers to catch up. The PC game controller always seemed to be highly advanced in the mid 90s and early 2000s, but it always had to be pushing itself with titles such as flight simulators and the likes.
The USB game controller was always spot on and simple to program to work with any game you wanted, but anyhow always came across as a job only for nerds. PC gaming controllers needed to step back a little bit, and look at home consoles for a bit of help. It is only when this happened that games started to flourish on the whole range of gaming. Suddenly Xbox controllers that could be used with PC's made gaming so much more appealing and open to the mass gaming universe.
Suddenly everybody is playing FIFA Soccer or NFL Madden on non specific gaming machines world wide.
