For Exercise, Keep In Mind Shoes Are Included In The Equipment!
The importance of proper cardiovascular shoes is often underrated. Individuals cover doing the exercises exactly, planning out a workout program, eating right, hydrating properly, and all varieties of other work-out tips, but they hardly ever get to talk about good gym shoes. But ask any fitness trainer and they will tell you how important it is. Of course, if you're taking an aerobics class, then footwear does not matter. You will do all of your aerobic exercise on a padded mat, and wearing shoes will be discouraged, if not outright banned from the room to save the the floor. But for many other cardiovascular exercises (with swimming and a few other excepted) proper cardio shoes are a necessity. And as a fitness trainer will tell you, you just can not protect your feet with-out them.
The form of cardio shoes depends on what you are doing for your work-out. If you're a serious runner, you need to get sneakers. These are lighter than other varieties of cardiovascular shoes, and concentrate padding for where runners need it. They are no good for playing tennis, for example, as they provide very little lateral ankle support. For tennis, or most other exercises that require more than just moving in a straight line, you must have a different sort of aerobic shoes: cross trainers or tennis shoes. Basically, both of these aerobic shoes are about the same thing - the modern version of the fitness club shoe, with a whole lot of padding, yet still a low top to allow some flexibility and movement at the ankle.
On the other hand, if you take part in basketball, you need bigger sturdier aerobic shoe to adequately safeguard your ankle. These are called high tops, and they go up all the way to the top of the ankle. They're great for this sport, because you're repetitively jumping high, bursting into swift sprints in assorted directions, and doing many other things that can easily injure your ankle. They safeguard you from injuries more effectively than any other kind of cardio shoes, and you will see nearly all basketball players wearing them. They are not good for the types of sprints that you've in tennis, however, and so are infrequently if ever worn by tennis players. Then again, if you are a cross country runner, you need different aerobic shoes completely. They will be sort of a combination between tennis shoes and light hiking boots, with a fairly light build and a whole lot of traction on the bottom. If you go for a career in personal training this is only one of the aspects of fitness you must know all about - but that's another story totally.
